January 2006 Update

Dear Friends,
Happy belated New Year! We trust you've had a great start to the new year. Time is just flying by for us, I'm sure it is for you, too.

Family Update: Our children and grandchildren are all doing very well. Andy, Cheryl and Levi are seeing great results in their ministries. Andy is taking a team of almost 20 young people to Mexico this spring. They are studying Spanish at our school, Okanagan Language School, to prepare for this trip. Chia, Jeanie, Tys and Jazz are also seeing much fruit in their ministry. Niki is enjoying Bible School and Katie loves her ministry to the babies in the orphanage she is working in at Colima, Mexico (this is where Andy is taking his team). Carrie and I are amazingly busy and fulfilled.

Guatemala: Our trip to Guatemala was very rewarding. Carrie got a great English school off the ground on the Fe Viva World Missions' base in Southern Guatemala. In the photo you see only about one-half of her class. We are so thankful that this school is continuing on. During the time she was there, a young man came to know the Lord. This was a direct result of establishing the English class.

I was busy with a leadership congress, crusades, ministry in several regions and even a baby dedication (photo). I spoke in the penitentiary for the Bible School graduation. What a celebration, as almost 40 prisoners graduated with two and three-year diplomas. It was a great joy to have a group of three men from Emmanuel Assembly, Westbank, who we trained and prepared, join us for two weeks of our time there. They worked tirelessly...digging dirt for a house, building shelves and very effectively ministering with the people - in Southern Guatemala and in the mountains with the Mayan people. All in all, the trip was very fruitful.

Okanagan Language School: Please pray for OLS as we are presently in the middle of a camp with 16 children. Five of these are from Buddhist homes. We have made some amazing inroads into these young lives and their parents in Korea, already. Please pray for our staff and homestay families. In March we have a secular Japanese group of almost 20 coming to us. After this we are probably going to have Chinese and Mexican students. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria: That's where I will be with three other men in less than two weeks. Our plates will be full helping with: church-planting in Southern Germany; Leadership and Spiritual Emphasis conference, English in the public schools, prison ministry and helps in Poland, helping with a new word-working ministry to Gypsy men and English and consultation in Slovakia. In Austria we will be visiting and ministering in the churches we develop while we were missionaries there in the 90's. We will be away from February 9 to 27.

Upcoming: South Africa and Zambia in May; Thailand in August; Russia in September; Armenia in October.

Please Pray: We thank the Lord that the government has completely approve CLIMB as a Society and Registered Charitable Organization. This was a huge hurdle to jump. Now we need to know specifically how to move forward. There are so many opportunities and invitations. Please pray that we stay in step with Jesus. Many people ask us, "How do you do it..how are you funded?" Jesus is our source, and He uses His people to supply for all we are doing. Our trust continues to be in Him, for all the projects we have on the go...for all the calls we are receiving world-wide. He is so faithful! Pray also for our physical health and strength. We need you standing with us and upholding us. Thank you.

Much love,
-Ralph and Carrie
